Projects
I am an applied researcher working on projects of different nature. Currently, I am invested in research projects on digital agriculture and the development of the methodological architecture for a company of Benefit and Collective Interest (BIC). The aim in both is similar, pursuing relations with the market that are fair, inclusive, profitable, and sustainable for small farmers.
In my research, I identified digital agricultural technologies available for small farmers in Colombia and analyze their social and ethical implications.
This dissertation offers to practitioners and policymakers a lens to analyze digital agricultural technologies in a more nuanced way that considers their implications for small farmers.
Below are a webinar and a podcast where I shared insights on the social implications of digital agricultural technologies.
Huella Delta is a Colombian company of Benefit and Collective Interest (BIC). My business partner and I co-founded this company to support rural organizations to build relations with the market that are fair, inclusive, profitable, and sustainable.
Since 2021 we have accompanied almost a dozen income-generating initiatives in Colombia in various sectors – including tourism, handicrafts, agriculture, and non-timber forest products.
In Huella Delta I lead the development of the methodological frameworks guiding our accompaniment to rural community organizations. I combine perspectives from business, social sciences, and rural sociology to identify and address the impact that social inequalities have on the relationship that communities establish with markets.
